Appeals

Any player may appeal a ruling of the arbiters to the Appeals Committee.

How it works

    Lodge in writing

    Submit a written appeal within 30 minutes of the end of the respective game, together with the appeal fee of LKR 5,000.

  2. 2

    Committee convenes

    The Appeals Committee — selected and appointed by the Organising Committee at the start of the tournament — reviews the case.

  3. 3

    Decision issued

    The committee’s decision is final and issued in writing, normally before the next round begins.

  4. 4

    Fee returned if upheld

    If the appeal is upheld, the fee is refunded. If rejected, the fee is retained by the organiser.
