Two rating categories, age-group and team competitions, all inside one FIDE-rated Swiss.

A

Category A

Rated 1701 and above

For established rated players. Competes for the main podium, female prizes and Category A rating-band awards.

B

Category B

Rated 1700 & below · incl. unrated

For developing and unrated players. Separate podium, female prizes and Category B rating-band awards.

Rating bands

Rating-band prizes are awarded within each category so players compete against their own level. Bands are contiguous and non-overlapping.

In the U6 & U7 age groups, 4th–20th places are awarded an internationally recognised Indian chess set (board, pieces & bag). Conditions apply.

Team place is decided by the top 5 scores from an organisation. Declare your team to the organisers before Round 3; a minimum of 3 players from the same CSO/HEI is required, and one organisation may claim only one team place.
